Thriller films often involve mostly male actors as their preference for a leading role but there are many famous thriller movies that beg to differ with this choice. For example one of the most famous thriller movie of all time, 'Silence of the Lambs', involved Jodie Foster as their main actress, taking the role of 'Clarice Starling', which she won over 5 different Best Actress awards for. 
However the first notable piece of Jodie Foster's work was at the age of 13 when she starred as 'Iris Steensma' in the classic thriller movie 'Taxi Driver'. After starring in this movie she was nominated for 5 different supporting actress awards and won 4 of them.
Jodie Foster has now appeared in over 10 different thriller movies and is now regarded as one of the most popular thriller actresses of this day and age.
